is it possible? The last 3 posts have been about wine tags! I promise, this is the last one for while, but this idea has been in my head for some time now, and this week presents the perfect opportunity to push it on out.
My plan (when I get a chance to get to the store pick up more paper) is to make a set of these tags, 6 for a bottle of red, 6 for a bottle of white :) The set will be the perfect little birthday pressie for my friend Michelle. The tags are cute, fun and practical to have on hand for those occasions when she's bringing along a bottle of wine to a friend's house or party and wants to include a message of cheer. She can write her message on the back of the tag.
I love little handmade pressies like this. They are perfect thoughtful touches without going crazy spending money on gifts. We all have friends like that, ones that we do not necessarily exchange gifts with, but still like to give a little something when you get together to celebrate. Also a great hostess gift. Especially if you add in some of the wine glass tags that I posted on the Scraptasia blog awhile back.
The stamp and paper are both from AMuse. I colored with pencils and added the clear glaze pen over the glass of the cheese plate for a little extra touch. Enjoy and I hope this inspires you to make some gift sets!

We attended an engagement party this weekend with a "no gift" request. But it's always hard to show up empty handed so a bottle of wine takes care of that! And this cute gift tag around the neck will let the happy couple know who gave it to them!
The stamps are from Savvy, so so cute for engagement wishes! The paper is from AMuse, and of course, I had to choose a bottle of wine that would coordinate with the tag! It's hard to see in the photo but I added glitter in the diamond of the engagement ring!

This card makes me so happy! I love the stamps (new "Happy Everything" set from AMuse), I love the colors (Brilliance in Pearlescent Orchid and Pearlescent Lime), and I love the patterned paper, so glittery, from Best Creations. A very simple design, I think this card would be great for little girls' birthday parties! I even stamped the inside to make it complete!

This was one on of the projects on my desk this week. A big one, invitations to my niece's graduation party to celebrate graduating from Medical School! Very exciting and worthy of a "classy" invite. I just love the shimmer couture paper from AMuse. And I added a clear embossed graduation cap, reconnecting with my embossing side.

So week #2 of being back on my blog did not go so well. I had a lot of creativity requirements this week, but fortunately I do have something for Scrapbook Fridays!
That's because I actually did this last weekend for Faye's birthday celebration on Sunday. I know I often talk about giving cards and card sets for gifts. But how about giving scrapbook layouts for gifts? This works best for friends who also scrapbooks, which my friend Stefania does, so I made this layout for Faye's scrapbook using some pics from a play date she & Joey had back in November. Faye had just started learning to sing the "Hello Everybody" song from music together. She was sitting on the curb singing along, but at that point, could not fit the "every" in, so it was "hellooooo ...body".
The patterned paper is from the Little Miss collection by Pebbles. Just so sweet and the stems for the flowers were actually the border of the small flowered paper. I cut the large flowers from a different patterned paper. Now that I have used up most of my other journaling cards from Jenni Bowlin, my new score from the store is the Memo Note Book from her. Just as amazing and I used my Nestability label die to cut it out fancy :)

It's not too catchy "Scrapbook Fridays", but hopefully by committing to posting a layout each Friday, and I can get some regular scrapbooking done. Funny, when I sit down to scrapbook, it's not intimidating to me because it's more or less a big card, I actually find the challenge to be with the photos. I love pictures so much, but I have terrible skills at taking them. It's on my list to take some lessons or classes, perhaps even offer some workshops at the store. Ah, but I digress.
So here's my first page for Scrapbook Friday. This is Joey at 5 months having a really good hair day. He had the best baby hair, the perfect little stick up right on top because it grew in longer first. His hair is still a bit thicker in that area, kinda funny. I used the Elephant Hambly Screen Print and BoBunny Double Dot. I love the Hambly transparencies, just amazing quality and so rich on the page. The journaling card is from Jenni Bowlin, it was a pack of 6. I LOVE them, very practical, yet cute, and the perfect brown!
