New Elzybells for Spring

Lots of new stamps for spring @ Scraptasia, including the totally adorable new stamps from Elzybells. How about this cutest little duckling! While showing this card to Alma yesterday I said "I flocked him" and her response was "you what?!". Stamping humor...it's hard to see the detail in the photo, but I used the Quickie Glue pen to apply glue to the body of the duckling, then added Lemonade Yellow Fun Flock from Stampendous to give him a little texture. I think we are going to have a lot of fun with flock this spring, ducklings, bunnies, chicks, so many possibilities!

Welcome Lockhart Stamp Company

We have some new stamps in town, stamps of a different color, I might add.  Give a big weclome to Lockhart Stamp Company!

The reason for "stamp of a different color", if you have followed my stamping style over my career @ Scraptasia, you will note that I tend to be a quick and simple stamper.  The faster the better, just add glitter.  When love grows, we find new things to love (which never dismisses the old) and now I am beginning to appreciate the art of coloring with rubber stamping.  Takes me back to those days of my Crayola 64 box and a new coloring book.

Lockhart Stamps are the perfect stamps for coloring.  Do dust off that collection of colored pencils, or talk to me about acquiring one, and join me as we embark on a colorful journey with Lockhart stamps. Hero Arts 2008 Debut @ Scraptasia

This Friday, December 14th is Hero Arts Debut night @ Scraptasia from 6 - 8:00pm.  Come to our open house event and preview a selection of the newest stamps from Hero, and check out the new catalog for 2008!  We will have new catalogs available for purchase!

  Make and takes and refreshments too!  Take a break from the holiday hub-bub and stop by the store between 6-8:00 pm.  We are always excited to see what's new from Hero!

Perfect Match!

Glimmer Mists meet Maya Road chipboard pieces, it's the perfect match!  I just unpacked some new goodies from Maya Road today, which includes these fun tins of chipboard snowflakes! along with our latest order from Tattered Angels, which includes lots and lots of Glimmer Mists!  We have restocked some colors that flew out of the door, and added some new ones too.  If you have not tried your Glimmer Mists on chipboard, well here are just a few possibilities!  The GM's are so much fun  on chipboard with a few spritzes, I dare say a little faster than painting, and much more shimmery and glimmery, which we always love!  So come in and check out the new colors, Frosty Nights among them, which is so awesome for the snowflakes, (gracias Kathy Rosenau).  The Snowflake Glimmer Mist remains a fav...

Make the Season Bright

I have to give you a double dose to hold you over until I am back to blogging next week.  I did manage to whip up one sample today in and amongst tying up all other loose ends (which included LOTS of ordering! yeah!).  I love the saying "make the season bright", and how appropriate with this little reindeer guy.  He is snipped from one of our new puffy trims that we sell by the yard.  The paper is from Basic Grey and the red gem is from Hero.  This guy would look so cute on a tag too.  Enjoy!

Winter Penguins presented by Memory Box

Indian Summer

So long Indian Summer!  It certainly has not felt like Autumn here in NJ lately.  But before we say a fond farewell, check out this new collection we just received from Autumn Leaves. 

Ever so appropriately named Indian Summer!  I love these papers!  yummmeeee, perfect for the tweener photos of late summer/early fall, or for a spontaneous butterfly birthday card...

The butterfly stamp is new from Autumn Leaves also!  It is a clear stamp, but sold invidually.  Talk about cheap thrills!  Enjoy!

Autumn Splendor

Here is the two page layout that we created in the Autumn Splendor class on Monday night. 

The papers are from the Mellow collection by Basic Grey.  We accented with stamps from the Autumn Tailored Tin stamp set from Paper Salon.  The shimmery chipboard accents were created using Tiger Lily Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels.  Glimmer Mists are so much fun on chipboard because they soak right in!  Set it aside for a few minutes to air dry and then we stamped right on it!

  Scraptasia is celebrating World Cardmaking day on Saturday, October 6th!  Join us between 11:00 am to 2:00 pm for FREE Make and Takes! 

We will feature a few quick & easy cards for you to make and experience how easy cardmaking can be!  Drop in between 11:00 - 2:00 for our free make & takes.
